The Godfather is a crime novel written by Italian American author Mario Puzo, originally published in 1969 by G. P. Putnam's Sons. It details the story of a fictitious Mafia family based in New York City (and Long Beach, New York), headed by Don Vito Corleone, who became synonymous with the Italian Mafia. The novel covers the years 1945 to 1955, and also provides the back story of Vito Corleone from early childhood to adulthood.

The book introduced Italian criminal terms like consigliere, caporegime, Cosa Nostra, and omertà to an English-speaking audience.

It inspired a 1972 film of the same name. Two film sequels, including new contributions by Puzo himself, were made in 1974 and 1990. The first and second films are widely held in high esteem as examples of the cinematic arts.

The novel deals with a mob war fought between the Corleone family and the other four of the five Mafia families in New York. After Don Vito Corleone is shot by men working for drug dealer Virgil "The Turk" Sollozzo, Corleone's two sons, Santino and Michael, must run the family business with the help of consigliere Tom Hagen and the two caporegime Peter Clemenza and Salvatore Tessio. When Michael murders Sollozzo and Captain McCluskey, an Irish police officer on the drug lord's payroll, the conflict escalates into a full-scale war; this ultimately results in Santino's murder and Michael's ascension to the head of the family. He initially desires to legitimize the family business, but gradually becomes even more ruthless than his father, orchestrating the murder of all of the family's enemies, including his brother-in-law Carlo Rizzi, who played a part in Santino's murder. Michael then sells all the family's businesses in New York and moves the Corleones to Lake Tahoe, Nevada.

The Corleone family patriarch is Vito (Andolini) Corleone (The Don), whose surname (Italian for "Lionheart") recalls the town of Corleone, Sicily. His birth name is Vito Andolini, but after emigrating to America, he refused to tell the immigration official his last name. The person in charge of the lines said the boy was from Corleone, and the official recorded his name as Vito Corleone. Vito fathered four children: Santino "Sonny" Corleone, Frederico "Fredo" Corleone, Michael "Mike" Corleone, and Constanzia "Connie" Corleone. He also has an informally-adopted son, Tom Hagen, who became the Corleone Family's' consigliere. Vito Corleone is also godfather to the famous singer and movie star Johnny Fontane. The godfather referred to in the title is generally taken to be Vito. However, the story's central character is Michael Corleone. The novel's central theme follows that Michael's destiny is to succeed his father as the head of the family empire, despite his desire to lead an Americanized life with his girlfriend (and eventual wife) Kay Adams.

The Corleone family is in fact a criminal organization with national influence, notably protection, gambling and union racketeering. Serving as the Don's underboss is his oldest son, Santino. The operational side of the organization is headed by two caporegimes, Peter Clemenza and Salvatore Tessio.

The Story in this novel really a great Mafia and Mob activities. It also describe the Mafia live in the 19^th Century.

I Choose this novel because this novel teach us the meaning of families and it teach us not to trust stranger in the first sight. Maybe they close to us because they need information and maybe backstabbed you haha.. :’v

Education to Build a Better Future

Do you think Education is important to the human life? If you didn’t think it is important then you are really really wrong. Why? Because our life is really really depends in Education. Without the Education improvement, in fact there will be no human improvements in daily life. Imagine that we will always do the life like our ancestor did in the ancient life. People will never know what is the secret of our cosmos or even the secret inside our body if we didn’t make our education program in a great ways. Everything we know in the school, from scientific to social life is based on the findings of Scientist, Archaeologist, and other great thinker such in Law, Social and others.

Education is the process of facilitating learning, or the acquisition of knowledge, skills, values, beliefs, and habits. Educational methods include storytelling, discussion, teaching, training, and directed research. Mainly the education takes place under the guidance of educators, but learners may also educate themselves. Education can also take place in formal or informal settings and any experience that has a formative effect on the way one thinks, feels, or acts may be considered educational. The methodology of teaching is called pedagogy.

Education began in prehistory, as adults trained the young in the knowledge and skills deemed necessary in their society.

In my opinion, Education is really an important reasons for our Technological advance. We can have every electronic  tools, public transport, even how we eat is because of the education.

Many Ancient Philosopher and Founder divers in the way we live. Hippocrates, he is one of the Ancient Greek that we call as a Father of Medicine. Herodotus, he is also the Ancient Greek that really make his move in History, also Imam Al-Bukhari that scribe the Hadist to remember the Muslims in how they should act.

The Education really take place in our Humankind history, teacher wouldn’t be a teacher if they didn’t study first. Everyone can be a teacher if they have any experience in anything.

A really good education will make our next-generation human smarter than us. We might create another colony in other planets. Imagine that we could have a starport like in the StarWars, or StarTrek.

And again, we should improve our Education to make benefits for our Humankind. But not as a destroyer, but as a maker in the universe.
